Dr Windsor Hylands and an enthusiastic audience enjoyed a long day of quality and encouraging playing in the Courtyard Theatre (Ballyearl), where Desi Neill reasserted himself as one of Northern Ireland's finest players by taking the Senior title.

Alexandra Maxwell (Murley Band) receiving 1st prize in the 12 and under Solo section.

K. Armstrong (Unaffiliated) was a double winner on Saturday by winning the 15 and under Solo section as well as the John Patton Trophy.

Maguiresbridge Band done well on Saturday by not only winning the 12 and under Ensemble section (above picture), but also the 15 and under Ensemble (Picture below).

It was also an accomplished day for the Murley Band as their 17 and under Ensemble and Junior Band won their respective sections.

Brian Connelly (1st Old Boys Band) delighted the audience, and more importantly the adjudicator, with his performance of 'The lark in the clear air'. So much so that he was named winner of the Slow Melody section.

Finally, with his sublime rendition of the cornet solo 'Zelda', Dr Windsor Hylands had no qualms in again naming Desi Neill winner of the A Solos.
